Immediately after connecting to a TASHILON protected site, the SecuredArea plug in is automatically installed on the user's Internet browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape). The role of the plug in is to identify users by their Computer Fingerprint. This information forms the basis of SecuredArea authentication.
The TASHILON Computer Fingerprint
Using a proprietary algorithm, TASHILON analyzes the users hardware components and software profiles and generates a unique digital signature or "Computer Fingerprint" for each user. Users can be reliably and totally authenticated by their "Computer Fingerprints" and all communications remain private and completely secure.
Communicating With TASHILON Server
After the SecuredArea plug in is installed, users will be prompted to send personal information. The user details are the paired with the user's "Computer Fingerprint" and stored in the TASHILON Server database.
Communicating With TASHILON Protected Web Sites
After the SecuredArea plug in is installed, and the user has submitted his personal details, all requests sent to any TASHILON protected web site will include a TASHILON UserID. Upon receipt of a communication the TASHILON Protected Web Site routes the UserID via the TASHILON Server for verification. The TASHILON Server responds by sending public user details.
